RDU revision proposal

Background

IFAS has an agreement with the legislature by which they are compensated for workload incurred providing research and extension support to the Florida public. The formula used for calculating that, the RDU (Research and Development Unit) was created to parallel the "Student Credit Hours" used for funding our educational efforts. IFAS wishes to propose that new electronic contact methods be added to the RDU formula and a committee had been formed to work those details into that formula.

Recommendation

ITPAC supported the effort to alter the RDU formula to provide credit for client support via electronic methods.
