This office is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining software
systems and applications in support of IFAS programs for extension, research, and teaching.
Software ProductsNote: CD-ROM and floppy disk software products are no longer supported by IFAS IT, but copies of some may still be purchased from the IFAS Bookstore. for identification of plant, insect, livestock, and disease problems.
FAS -- Faculty Accomplishments System

The software used for reporting accomplishments and plan-of-work for UF/IFAS faculty.
FAWN -- Florida Automated Weather Network
Lead person: Andy King
The Florida Automated Weather Network (FAWN) is composed of 21 (expanding to 32 by January 2003)
automated weather stations located at UF/IFAS Research and Education Centers
and Extension Service Sites throughout Florida. Its mission is "to
provide accurate and timely weather data to a wide variety of users."
