In 1998 and 1999, IT processed 1939 documents into the EDIS database and 3171 documents into the Review Site. There are currently 5284 entries in the EDIS database. Of these, 3440 have Digital Library Numbers, indicating that they exist (or did exist) in electronic form. There are currently 3134 documents listed on the EDIS web site.

Documents come to us from several sources. The departments of Agronomy and Family, Youth and Consumer Sciences are responsible for their own documents while IFAS Communication Services submits documents from the other academic departments within IFAS. The SWAT team is responsible for converting legacy publications into electronic format.

In March, 1999, the department of Soil and Water Sciences also began handling their own documents. Their impact in the percentage of documents that come to us directly from the departments can be seen by looking at the charts at the right (click on the image for a larger view).
